Mark Burton

Mark Burton, a California native, began his legal journey at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He then furthered his education at Golden Gate University School of Law, where he excelled on the Dean's List and immersed himself in the legal world through various organizations, including serving as a writer and assistant editor of the Law Review.

His legal career started with clerkships at the San Francisco Superior Court and the Contra Costa Public Defenders Office. Since then, Mr. Burton has consistently prioritized his clients' needs, focusing on complex litigation in areas such as consumer class action, wage and hour violations, whistleblower and discrimination cases, and medical malpractice.

In 2018, he notably led the successful effort challenging Uber's classification of drivers as independent contractors. Beyond exceptional legal representation, Mr. Burton actively shares his knowledge by speaking at events, writing articles, and serving as a trustee for Golden Gate University and an advisor to its law school Dean.

His commitment extends beyond the courtroom. Mr. Burton is actively involved in various community organizations, including the American Association for Justice, Consumer Attorneys of California, and the San Francisco Trial Lawyer's Association. He also dedicates his time as a volunteer firefighter for the Nicasio Volunteer Fire Department and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Nicasio School District.
